I think my favorite POTO character of all time is the animated version! I know, it's rather badly done, but, it remains closer than any other film adaption ever made!!

Yes...I like the cartoon, as well... It's badly animated, but, it maintains wonderful aspects of the story.

I doubt mine would be hard to guess

Agreed! I'm a fan of the Charles Dance version (even though I haven't seen the WHOLE thing) and the Kay version. They're REALLy similar.

Does it have songs in it? Are they any good? Whenever I see another version of phantom apart from ALW I tend to be disappointed!

Well, it's not an actually musical like ALW's, but it does have scenes with real operas, like the awesome piece at the end where the Phantom and Christine sing part of "Faust" together. I could send you that audio clip if you like. I'd just need your e-mail.

I don't get that at all! I'm not too keen on Emmy really, but to be fair, its only because shes a girl of around my age whos a successful actress *jealous*Unlike many Phans, I don't have a problem with Gerry in the film

I didnt mind him in terms of acting or singing. The whole cast was amazing. But the alterations to the film mainly affected his character, so, I hate the film ALW Phantom.
-He sings 'Go now and leave me.' He is NOT supposed to!
-He doesnt seem genuinely sad [to a lot of phans]
-He touches Christine way too much and too sexually in Music of the Night It should be a lullabye!
-The smashing of the mirrors, while symbolic, bothered me, because his disappearance in the play was so cool!
That is only a SAMPLE
