Leroux vs. Kay & Why

my friend just got that version

I have:
-The Essential POTO with Christine and the Phantom in the gondola
-The original edition leather-bound version, with only the title and a rose on the cover
-Another edition, with a Lon Chaney painting on it
-A Borders edition, with the chandelier falling onto the audience
-A simplified edition for kids with Erik in Box 5, holding a rose, watching Christine on stage, taking off his mask
-The ALW edition
-An edition with Erik's mask off, and his hand covering his face

The Essential, the children's version, the original edition, and the Border's edition has a few pictures here and there

Thats a lot of dam books. I really never get that many books for anything I like unless I really liked it. I would love to get that leather bound one your talking about.

It took forever to find. I dont read them all. I have one copy I read. the others are for decoration or the pictures

By original do you mean the one back during 1871 or whatever time he wrote it?

How old is he? Just get it when he dies. Dont want to be rude. But hey that would make a great piece to your collection.

He's young. Too young to die anytime soon. Maybe I could revise his will and bump him off. I mean, accidents happen all the time

Just take it when he isnt looking like what im saying is bring a bag with stuff in it right and tell him its for something and sneak the book in there.

Kay's book is so sad, since it tells Erik's whole history.

oh I thought it was just another Phantom of the Opera book. Then I must find it.

It tells his life history. She adds depth to his tragic past

Now I must really get it. It must be a good book. what do you give it on a scale of 1 to 10

It is so cute, and yet sad, when Erik dies

That was sad that Christine dies at all. Especially in the 2004 movie. They make it sad at the end.

they were so dumb for adding that last bit... I mean, it shows that Erik out-lived Christine and did not die of a broken heart

Im suprised Eric out-lived Christine at all.

I have yet to read the Kay version. Its been hard to find it. I love the way in the ALW version ends... but yeah its pretty stupid..
I have a feeling this all ties in with ALW's suposid (sp?) sequeal... oh woah.
