Ok for those who seen the POTO with Gerry and Emma on the Point of no Return does anyone notice that his hair is black, and the mask is not covering his upper forehead and hair line and it looks normal. But when Emma takes it off, his hair turns brown and messy and the part of his hairline thats on the disfigured side changes where it goes missing in thin air. Any one explain this to me?

Dramatic effect is all I could ever come up with. It's not accurate. They could have done better by giving him a larger mask for that scene, and by doing that, they could've made the disfigurement have more ugliness. But they wanted the Phantom to look his hottest right before it all goes to the poof. Stupid Hollywood.

Ya I know but it would look so much better if it was just a bigger mask and they kept his hair the same color.

And here's the explanation:
Due to the degree of the Phantom's deformity, it rendered portions of his hair to grow in scarce or not at all. The blonde color, I have no idea why they chose it, but, that's how it is in the musical. The black wig was put over his actual hair. The deformity, when unmasked, appears outside the confines of the small, Zorro-like mask, so, how exactly he "hid" it is unknown to me. But, when Emmy first rips it off, it is digitally enhanced, to make it appear much more grotesque. Afterward, it is mild.
