The Vampire book series by Stephanie Meyers - Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse...

Anyone else hopelessly obsessed?

And once I started reading these books, I realized the true meaning of obsession. I was only ever a huge fan, deeply in love with POTO. But every moment I am without one of these books in hand...it's agony! I'm almost finished with the latest one, Eclipse, and I realize that once it's over I have to wait months for the next book...It's nearly unthinkable.

I haven't read any of them but I have been told they were very good... I can't wait for the movie version! As soon as I get done with my school summer reading, I will probably read them. I have the first two... Ugh, summer reading consumes so much time that could otherwise be spent reading FUN books!

If no one has told you anything good about them, then you're talking to the wrong people! Lol. Then again...how many girls do you talk to? It's really more of a romance. But everyone I know reading it is head-over-heels in love with the books...

Here's just how infatuated I am with the books (copied and pasted from a convo with a fellow fan about the new Eclipse book):
When I went to the bookstore today to get it and the lady said it was sold out, I instantly felt upset. Twilight Noes I asked my mom if I could come back tomorrow, and when she said probably not, I almost cried. Twilight Raincloud Luckily I found the book at a different store, though it cost more (as if money is an object when it comes to the Twilight books! lol)

This obsession is crazy. Twilight No Seriously, when I was nearing the end of the first book a few days before we went on vacation, I didn't think I'd have a chance to buy the next book until we went shopping in WI, so I was planning to *ration* myself to one chapter a night until we went shopping. Good thing we had to go to the mall before vacation. It's insane.

I thought I was crazy for feeling this way until I talked to my friends who read the books too, and they all could relate.

I admit, I'm not a big fan of the series. They make a good read for travel, or when you just have some time to kill. But otherwise it's not really good.
Sparkly vampires are not for me I guess. Wink
