For my birthday on Saturday my dad took me to a couple of the anique stores in town, and one thing I ended up buying was this very intersting book. I wouldn't be surprised if RedDeath owns it, lol.

"From the days of the Silent Film to The Exorcist"
You can imagine Lon Chaney is mentioned several times.
I remembered RedDeath mentioning Nosferatu as one of the best vampires films, but unfortunately the book doesn't have much to say about that paticular movie and has only one picture of it (but it is a very creepy one...). My dad said he's seen a newer movie where the vampires looked very similar to Nosferatu, but I don't remember what he said it was...I'll ask him later. I do agree that they really toned down the "horror" of vampires starting with Bela Lugosi's Dracula (though I've non problem with it, being a wimp, myself).
Oh well, my favorite Vampire movie will always be The Lost Boys!
It's a great book that I'm sure any horror fan could appreciate.
