I really like the MOTN version, but Think of Me as a pop ballad was less than desirable.

yes i think it was ok but it should have not been a pop ballad

personally I thought in some areas the person singing MOTN went a little flat but it was still well enough for me to continue hearing the song and over look.Though think of me was a new twist for I would of never thought of singing it that way. It was interesting I would not know though looking back if it would of been good enough to pass in my eyes.

Yeah, I was surprised to walk into my Spanish class the next day and hear my teacher talking about how much she loved the MOTN song.

I watched a tiny bit of this, enough to see clips of all the performances, and I thought both TOM and MOTN were butchered.

I switched off very soon after!

Hahahah, I did not like Think of Me at ALL but MOTN was watchable. :)To me anyway!

I only tend to enjoy it if its sung with a classical voice, I'm not so keen on 'pop' voices.

Exactly, the newer pop ballad version was not at all a favorite of mind. Ugh.

I was ecstatic when I heard ALW was going to be on American Idol. Unfortunately, I heard it a week prior to it coming on and had forgotten by the time it was actually on. Thank God for Youtube.

My two favorites, hands down, were David Cook singing MOTN and Syesha Mercado singing One Rock n Roll Too Many (which I hadn't heard until then).

David Archuleta, who sang Think of Me, however, makes me sick. He has been on my list since they were doing Beatles songs and he forgot the words. And then singing TOM, he forgot the words again, not to mention he butchered it with his goody-two-shoes-boyband-pop interpretation of it. He is gifted with his voice, and it really fries my patience that he uses it so poorly.

But really, that whole show was a little disappointing. I think everyone screwed up one way or another, by either forgetting the words or starting off beat. I was just happy to see ALW! He's the coolest.
