21st Anniversary Masks

The Really Useful Group are selling these beautiful masks for the London production's 21st birthday.

I just ordered one

£45 seems like a very good price to me.

I can understand wanting a certificate of authenticity (I guess), but, I am not going to worry buying these because I already have a few. My local costume shop sells POTO plastic, ceramic, venetian, and porcelain masks all year round from the stage musical(s) and the film version(s) [from Lon Chaney to Gerard Butler]. So, I could buy one anytime, really. In fact, I do have 2 ALW film masks (plastic and porcelain, both the white ones) and 4 ALW stage masks (plastic white, porcelain white, venetian/vinyl Red Death, and a full face logo one in plastic).


Besides, this only brings up anger at the RUG's ebay auction of the movie prop items, of which my aunt's best friend won the Gerard Butler mask. One of the many varieties that he wore.

I wish my local costume shops were that good! I only have a very cheap plastic one from ebay that doesn't even stay on my face properly.

Hahah, it seems that my theatre, book store, and The Costumer are the only good things about my pitiful small city :wink:

You have a book store AND a costume store? That's like freaking Vegas next to my town. It's not that I don't like small towns, but the more I hear about what people get in larger towns...well, it's just painful.

Nah, it's called the midwest. When POTO was in theaters, it didn't even come to ours. They must think us hicks don't wanna watch all them there fancy Broadway-type folks singing their conversations. XD I suppose I should be used to this kind of thing by now.

I'd love to get one of those masks. Too bad it's not priced for U.S. money.
